Superdrug's B.Pure Micellar Water Review!

Hey chicks,

So recently I have been loving the Micellar Water from the B.Pure range at Superdrug and I have been using this product every night without fail. B.Pure describes the product as a 'quick and easy 3-in-1 cleanser that dissolves impurities in a single sweep, no water required'. It also claims to 'cleanse the skin by removing impurities and makeup, tone the skin by restoring the pH balance while keeping the skin supple and finally refreshing the skin by using cucumber juice extract'.

Before I go to bed, I put some of the product onto a cotton wool pad and use them to take my days makeup off. Once my face is free from the makeup I then do the same step again to remove any other traces of makeup and just to give my skin a thorough cleanse!

I have been using this product for around 2 months now and I have to say that it cleanses the skin really well, and doesn't disturb my sensitive skin! I find that it removes eye makeup really well and doesn't sting my eyes! All in all, I am extremely happy with this product for the price as it hasn't make me breakout and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and horrible! I think this product retails for around £2.49 which is extremely affordable.

So if you are looking for an affordable way of cleansing your skin, then this is it!

Current Favourite Makeup Brushes!

Hey pumpkins,

Today's blog post is on my current favourite makeup brushes!

About 6 months ago, I jumped on the Real Techniques bandwagon and started using their makeup brushes - and they are fabulous!

In total, I have about 6 of the brushes that I use on a regular basis but I am looking into buying some more and incorporating them into my daily makeup routine.

I think this is gonna be a long one, so grab a cuppa!

The first one that I want to talk about is the Expert Face Brush which I use to blend in cream foundations and concealor. This brush blends in cream foundations beautifully, it holds just the right amount of product and works best if you start applying the foundation to the centre of the face and then blend outwards. It is also extremely easy to clean which is always a good thing and the shape of the brush means that it is easy to blend foundation around the eyes and nose. This brush retails for around £9.99 which I think is great for such an amazing brush.

I use the Detailer Brush for applying my MAC Studio Finish Concealor as it comes in a pot, so it helps to remove the product from the packaging and then apply it to problem areas. The detailer brush is tapered and small making it perfect for this job. I then blend in my concealor using the expert face brush! I think that this brush would be good for highlighting in places such as the inner eye or applying a lip product! The detailer brush is part of the Core Collection which retails at £21.99 and also includes a pointed foundation brush, buffing brush and a contour brush!

I absolutley love the powder brush from this range it is a really nice shape and size meaning that the powder is distributed evenly across the face, saving you from looking cakey. The bristles in this brush are really dense, but this does not make the brush feel stiff, infact it feels incredibly soft on your skin. This brush is good for use with both pressed and loose powders and retails at around £12.99!

The next brush I want to share with you is the buffing brush. I tend to use this brush for applying and blending cream blushers but I know that many people love this brush to blend in their cream foundation. I find that it blends and buffs my blusher into my skin evenly and amazingly without leaving any streaks behind. This brush is part of the Core Collection which retails at £21.99

I am always really enjoying using the blush brush. This brush is a large blush brush which means that it covers the whole of the cheek in one go and is also big enough to be used with face powder too. The brush is an extremely soft dome shape making application smooth and easy. It is very good quality especially for the price and applies product evenly. This brush retails at around £9.99!

And finally, the contour brush. This brush is kind of egg shaped making it perfect for contouring under the cheekbones and applying highlighter. I find that the bristles on most of the Real Techniques brushes are really good quality and not one of the hairs has bent or fallen out of any of my brushes to date. I especially love this brush for contouring as it is the perfect shape and size to fit under the cheekbones to give you a beautifully defined face. This is also part of the Core Collection which retails at £21.99

Just to let you know Boots are currently doing a 3 for 2 mix and match across all makeup and beauty accessories at the moment which is the perfect opportunity to pick up these brushes and give them a go for yourself!!

So, I hope you enjoyed this blog post and thankyou for reading!:)

Herbal Essences 'Beautiful Ends' Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

    Hey beauts,

So today I am going to do a little review on the Herbal Essences 'Beautiful Ends' Shampoo and Conditioner meant for mid to long hair.

Some of you may be aware that I have quite long hair and am always blowdrying, straightening or using curling irons on it so I am left with incredibly split and dry ends, ugh!

So when I saw this shampoo and conditioner combination in ASDA on 2 for £5 I didn't hesistate to put them in my trolley. I usually swap and change my shampoo and conditioners in the hope that I will find something that will miraculously change my hair and viola, I have! (this is deffo a keeper!)

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for around 2 months now and I actually started seeing a difference to my hair within the first few weeks.

The first thing I noticed was the amazing scent; it smells extremely fruity with hints of melon and berries. This smell is very strong which lingers on the hair for atleast 2 days after washing (major good point for me!)

I completley agree with herbal essences that 'the luscious formula with red raspberry and silk extracts leaves your hair protected and luscious' as my hair feels loads silkier and amazingly soft.

My split ends have become a lot less visible and my hair is completely moisturised. It also, doesn't get greasy for a longer period of time (bonus!)

I literally have no faults with these products, so if you have mid to long hair and suffer with split ends, I urge you to go out and buy NOW! However, wait till an offer is on as I think they are usually around £4 a bottle which is incredibly pricey but I guess you get what you pay for!

So, that's it from me :)

'The loveliest of all was the Unicorn'...

  Hey hunnies,

I'm sorry it's another nail post, but today I want to share with you my new favourite nail polish.

Now, I have always been a fan of glittery nail polish even though they are an absolute bugger to remove, so on a recent trip to Topshop I picked up this little beauty!

I had to buy this product because of its name (the beautiful colour was just an added bonus;)), so....

Ladies, meet........ 'Unicorn'!!!!! (isn't she amazing?!?!?!?!)

This nail varnish looks absolutley beautiful over a pink polish and I also found that it wasn't as hard to remove as normal glitters.

However, as much as it pains me to say this, the colour is not actually pink on the nails, it just contains lots of different coloured glitter, mainly blues and pinks which to be honest was a little bit of a let down, but I still think it is a very pretty colour on!

I tried to get a photo of the polish on a nail, however I couldn't get a decent photo so decided not to include it! (sorry!)

I think this nail polish like most Topshop nail polishes was about £6, so not bad at all!

So, that's it from me guys,

Thanks for reading:)

Acrylic Nails

Hey dolls,

So today I just wanted to talk to you about acrylic nails and show you some of the designs I have had on my own nails!

So for any of you who do not know what acrylic nails are, they are basically extensions for your natural nails. The type of acrylic nails that I usually have are called 'tips'.

'Tips' are made of lightweight plastic plates that are nail shaped. They are glued on the end of the natural nail and then the acrylic is applied over the entire nail.

If you considering having acrylic nails done, it is important to know that the nail technician knows exactly what they are doing as they can seriously damage your nails.

It is also important that when the time comes where you need to take your acrylic nails off, make sure you go to the salon as it is the safest way. If you do try to take them off yourself you may cause permanant damage to your nails and it also really hurts.

Acrylic nails usually cost around £40 however I am fortunate enough that my boyfriend's cousin does them for me at a much more affordable price - and she is fab at what she does!!

So, I have created a list of both pro's and con's of having acrylic nails:

Pro's
  • Help to cover up any damaged, short or bad nails, making them look pretty
  • Helps people to stop biting their nails and allows your natural nails to be able to grow underneath
  • They are hard and therefore do not break
Con's
  • Damage to the nail bed
  • Artificial nails tend to harbour infections which tends to be why hospitals won't let their employees wear them
  • When you take your acrylics off your nails often look really ugly underneath
I love having acrylic nails as it means that I don't really have to think about my nails and don't have to go through the annoyance of painting my nails which I absolutley cannot bare!!!

So, these are some of the designs I have had:

So thats it from me beauts,

I hope you have enjoyed this post,

Current Favourite Lip Product

Hey guys,

Today's blog post is a little review of my current favourite lip product.

Recently, I have been absolutley loving the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquers which are a mix between a lipstick and a lipgloss and have a lovely smooth and creamy texture when applied.

The applicator has a dent in the middle so it holds the right amount of product, is easy to apply and you don't have to keep going back in for more.

The lip lacquer has a very thick consistency which I like and I also found it to be extremely moisturising.

Rimmel London offer a wide range of colours but my favourite has to be 'Luna'.

'Luna' is a peachy/orange tone which is very highly pigmented but is extremely wearable.
What I find with this product is that it is versatile: you can build up the lip lacquer for a bold lip colour or you can apply a little and blot with a tissue for a more natural look - I go for both!

This Rimmel London lip product retails for around £6.49 and I know that Boots are doing a 'buy one get one half price' deal at the moment.

I love this lacquer and I think you will too!

So, that's it from me lovelies! I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and I have given you a useful review!

I've got a blog!

Woooooo, I've got a blog!

Expect to see all things beauty related, including some hair, fashion and lifestyle posts thrown in the mix too.

I have a passion for all things beauty related, however I am in no way a makeup artist and I am doing this purely for fun.

I am aiming this blog to people who are on a tight budget or just prefer drugstore to high end, like me.  However, that does not mean I won't be featuring more high end products! (I am a huge MAC lover!!)

I hope you will enjoy reading this as much as I will enjoy writing it!

Wish me luck and happy blogging!:)
