TAG: 20 Questions!

Hey chicas,

So today I am going to be doing another tag post for you all, just so you can get to know a little bit about me!

So here goes.....

1) Things you cannot leave the house without?
I would probably have to say my iPhone as I am a little bit addicted to it and feel like I am missing an arm when I don't have it with me...bit sad really! and then probably my purse, cos you never know when you are gonna need a bit of money!

2) Favourite brand of makeup?
I would have to say that MAC is my ultimate favourite brand of makeup but I am also really loving Rimmel London at the minute which is a little bit more affordable!

3) Favourite flower?
Erm, I don't really receive flowers enough to have a favourite type, but I would have to say probably a rose (bit clichéd I know!)

4) Favourite clothing store?
I really like New Look, H&M and Primark!

5) Favourite perfume?
This has to be the new Juicy Couture one! I think it's called Viva La Juicy Noir. It smells absolutely amazing!

6) Heels or flats?
I do love a good pair of heels, however, I would have to say flats as I feel more comfy in a a pair of flat shoes.

7) Do you make good grades?
If I put the effort in then, yes! I'm not someone who is naturally clever, so if I work hard at revision, it does pay off!

8) Favourite colours?
PINK, PINK, PINK!

9) Do you drink energy drinks?
Not really, I tend to steer clear of them.

10) Do you drink juice?
Yes, you can't beat a good bit of orange juice!

11) Do you like swimming?
I don't mind it...

12) Do you eat fries with a fork?
Yes, it's a bit strange really, but I eat most things with a knife and fork, like pizza...

13) Favourite moisturiser?
I love the Body Shop body butters, but recently I have been loving Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream.

14) Do you want to get married later on in life?
Yes, I would love too!

15) Do you get mad easy?
I do think I have quite a short temper and I can snap quite easily, but it takes a lot to get me really mad!

16) Are you into ghost hunting?
No. Absolutely not!

17) Any phobias?
The sea. Things that live in the sea. Snakes. Spiders. Heights. Yeah I do!

18) Do you bite your nails?
Unfortunately, yes I do. However, I am currently desperately trying to stop.

19) Have you ever had a near death experience?
No.

20) Do you drink coffee?
Not so much at home as I prefer tea! However, I love Costa Coffee! Mmm.

So thankyou for reading everyone and I hope you enjoyed this TAG.

Clothing Haul: New Look

Hey cuties,

This post is gonna be the second part of my recent haul, which was the last post I wrote on my blog, so this is the clothing part of it.

So, I'm just gonna crack on...

I recently did a shop on the New Look website as I get 10% student discount (however, if you are quick, they are currently doing a 20% off for students for a limited time only).

The first thing I ordered is this gorgeous khaki fur trim hooded parka which was £44.99 before the discount.

I have been looking for a parka for these winter months for ages now, and I finally found this one and I absolutely love it. It has both a zip and buttons up the front, with the most gorgeous patterned hood and furry collar. I love it!

Next, I ordered this black and white daisy print peplum top which was £14.99 before the discount.

I absolutely love peplum tops as they really suit my figure and hide the bits that I don't like. I also really like this top because I think it can be worn for both the day and the evenings.

Then, I ordered this deep red quilted hoodie which was £17.99 before the discount.

I really like the colour of this hoodie as it is very A/W and it is incredibly warm and snuggly too.

Next, I ordered this pink knitted jumper which was £19.99 before the discount.

I am absolutely in love with everything about this jumper. The colour is amazing and will still look great in the spring, it is incredibly soft and fluffy making it really warm and cosy, and it also looks great with the leggings.

And then finally, I picked up this burgundy belted skater skirt which was just £10.00.

This again is another great buy, as its a great colour and looks great with bare legs for a night out or black tights for during the day. This also comes with a really nice black and gold belt.

So, that's it from me girlies, I hope you enjoyed this haul and let me know if you would like to see more posts like this.

I have recently placed another new look order, so you might see another one coming soon;)

Thankyou for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post, as always you can contact me by emailing me on makeupmagicandmischief@hotmail.com or follow me on twitter @makeupmandm

Beauty Haul: ASDA, Benefit, Boots & Topshop

Hey sweeties,

So today I've got a haul for you guys as I have recently been doing a lot of shopping and I thought I would share with you what I bought!

This haul will come in two parts; the first being a beauty haul and the second being a clothing haul (coming soon!)

So let's crack on and I hope you enjoy!!

The first place I went is to ASDA and I picked up the new Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo and conditioner as they were on offer for £1 a bottle. As you will all know if you have read my blog before, I usually use and love the raspberry shampoo and conditioner for split ends (review on my blog), however, I decided to have a change and try this one, which has Honey and Apricot extracts for damaged hair. According to Herbal Essences 'this formula works to help repair the protective layer of each strand of hair to leave it strong against combing damage'. So, I'm going to give this a go and see if I can be persuaded to use this more often instead of the raspberry one.

The next place I went to, was Benefit in Debenhams where I picked up the number one bestselling 'they're real' mascara! Now, if you know me personally, you will know that I would never ever leave the house without my trusty pair of false eyelashes. This is because for many years, I have absolutely hated my natural eyelashes as they are stumpy, short and well, pretty non existent! I originally picked one up for my mum as a Christmas present, because believe it or not, her eyelashes are actually shorter than mine and when I saw the result, I just had to go out and buy one for myself! And I can now proudly say that false eyelashes are a thing of the past! This product retails at £19.50

Next I went to Boots and I picked up four things. Firstly I bought the 'Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil' in the colour 'Vintage Blush' from Collection. This product claims to be a 'velvety, soft blendable eyeshadow pencil which is waterproof and long lasting'. This colour is a really nice, shimmery pale pink colour which I think will look really nice as a brow highlighter or in the inner corner of the eye. This product retails at £3.19

Secondly, I picked a 'Lasting Finish' nail varnish in the colour 'Double Decker Red' from Rimmel London. This is such a beautiful bright red colour, exactly like a London double decker bus, and I thought it would be perfect for the Christmas and winter period, so I bought it! This product retails at £1.99.

Next, I picked up the 'Match Perfection Light Perfecting Radiance Foundation' in the colour '100 Ivory' from Rimmel London. I usually wear the 'Wake Me Up' foundation from Rimmel, but again I fancied a change and decided to give this a go. This retails at £6.99.

And finally, I picked up the 'Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder' in the colour '004 Sandstorm' also from Rimmel London. This is a staple in my daily makeup routine, so I picked this up simply because I had run out of my old one, and I love it so much! This product retails at £3.99.

The final place I went to was Topshop, where I picked up two things.
Firstly, I bought a new lipstick in the colour 'Pillow Talk'. This is a really beautiful pale, girly pink and I really love it. I think this will look great in the Spring and the Summer.

I also, picked up a nail varnish in the colour 'Bashful' which is a really nice powdery blue colour, which again I think will look great for the Spring and Summer months.

Topshop lipsticks cost £8 and their nail varnishes cost £5.

So, that's it from me, please let me know if you want a review of any of these products and I will be sure to do so!
My clothing haul will also be up soon!

So thankyou for reading everyone and I hope you are keeping well.
